[ A visitor stopping by isn't something of a routine occurrence for a man who's made being a loner an entire lifestyle. This means he's still pondering the potential options of who might be behind the door when he rises from his book to address the sudden knocking. Opening more than an inch but less than a body's width, the door pries from it's doorframe just enough for its owner to lean into the space it makes; intrigue beating out his confusion but not dampening a deep-seated initial wariness around strangers. ]
Yes? [ A substitute greeting as arms casually cross, certain this has to be a case of getting the wrong apartment. ]
Are you looking for someone on this floor?
[ Of all his guesses the one he doesn't anticipate catching sight of is a stranger whose presence would bode for more questions than answers. Moreso when a flick of eyes downward gathers up the presence that reminds of Mikuni and Konoha in the best of ways; a little familiar and yet novel all the same.
He has assumptions that automatically spring to mind. Yet seeing as how it's not impossible for other Moonblessed to trot about donning centaur fashioned forms, Binghe holds that thought on pause before opening his door wider. Just enough to permit a more hospitable exchange with someone that bests even his height in spades. ]
I came to deliver a gift from the Tsurugi Farmstead. Though you weren't drawn as the winner, we wanted to thank everyone who signed up.
[ After two other deliveries, Gonta's getting better at this kind of exchange. He pulls out the last bundle of oversized Chroma-grown vegetables from his saddlebag. ]
Just making sure-- are you Luo Bing... he...?
[ He isn't quite sure if he's pronouncing his name right. ]
What a generous way to show gratitude. A message would have been sufficient, and not cost the farmstead anything.
[ The auction had implied there was more than enough of a bumper crop to go around. But when has an excess of anything been given away instead of kept for added profit, even by the most open-minded souls? Giving something for nothing isn't the way of the world. At least not the one he's been whisked away from nor this place, where a planet holds them hostage, siphons Chroma from their veins and demands its production under penalty of death if one refuses. So the gesture is met with a momentary widening of eyes that trail Gonta's actions until Binghe's unexpected gift is revealed.
Ancient origins and an old-fashioned way of thinking are hard to break from, no matter how many 'instant' meals and frozen dishes exist here. Which means fresh vegetables are a staple portion of meals he makes from scratch. Making this gift not only a show of kindness worth notice but one that's practical and exactly what he needs. ]
That's right. [ A wry smile at the way his name sounds on this fellow's tongue. ] And how might I address you?
[ He could guess further, but Binghe allows this fellow to fill in the blanks while he reaches to wordlessly offer in helping unload the vegetables from Gonta's hands. ]
I assume you work at the farmstead, as well as deliver their supplies.
[ Since it seems like everyone just associates him with her. She's pretty much the face of their relationship and the farmstead. Gonta's just the muscle who works silently behind the scenes, still very wary of the city. In fact, going out to do these deliveries is... a bit of a challenge for him as an isolated mountain man.
He allows Binghe to take the bundle though. ]
I do most of the fieldwork. Konoha's much better with people than I am.
A Delivery!
♥ Sorry for the delay!
